Senior Analyst and Founder

Charles Thibodeau founded CT Consultant in the fall of 2016, with the mission to support decision makers in the area of life cycle assessment (LCA) and to democratise the concepts to the general public. Charles has more than 10 years of experience in LCA and in the environmental engineering, during which he completed a doctorate and post-doctorate, while cumulating practical project experience in research and analysis. In the last year, Charles has completed the LEED® Green Associate certification and has participated in several symposiums on the themes of life cycle assessment, sustainable buildings and building data modelling (BIM). Senior Analyst, Expert in Life Cycle Assessment

Having completed her doctorate on biogenic carbon in forestry products, Marieke joins the ranks of CT Consultant as senior analyst. During her doctorate, she worked at Natural Resources Canada on a biofuels LCA project and was also part of an advisory committee for large scale adoption of mass timber in buildings. Prior to her doctoral studies, Marieke worked for six years in the Netherlands at TNO (the Netherlands Institute for Applied Scientific Research) and at CE Delft. As an analyst in life cycle assessment, she conducted studies in various fields, such as in agriculture and food production, metals, packaging and infrastructure. In addition, Marieke conducted several critical reviews of life cycle assessment and carbon footprints in compliance with PAS2050, ISO 14040/44 and the GHG Protocol.
